Founded in 1958, our family business is over 50 years old. Our customers are floor installers, interior decorators and painters, retailers and flooring wholesalers. Our product range is well-adjusted to the needs of these trades.  With new types of floors and changing ways of installing them our range of products grows and evolves to supply our customers with the most innovative and highest-quality tools and machines on the market.

Choosing our suppliers and developing our own products is done under a rigid quality control. This way we can ensure a reliable supply with high quality products for our customers. Before a product is added to our range, it has to undergo strict tests to make sure that it complies with our quality standard. A strong partner – since 1958

In 1958 Horst and Elisabeth Witte founded E. Witte Metallwaren. From the beginning on the focus was on floor installers. From a garage, over a former horse stable and the basement of the family home, the company grew continuously. In 1978, the first premises were built in the industrial zone “Auf dem Tigge” in Beckum.

After finishing their studies in economics, the son Michael and his wife Mechthild Witte joined the company in 1981. In 1992 a new office and warehouse building was finished. Michael and Mechthild Witte took over the management of the company in 1998, which was transferred into Witte Metallwaren GmbH & Co. KG and the founding generation retired.

In 2012, Benjamin Witte, member of the third generation, joined the company after finishing his studies in business economics and philosophy at Witten/Herdecke University and Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.
